Planting & Soft Landscaping in Perth

Plant selection, garden bed planting, and soft landscaping for properties that need fresh structure without a full landscape rebuild.

Garden workers installing plants in a commercial Perth landscape.

Planting works best when it is planned for the property, not just chosen from what looks good at the nursery that week. Perth gardens need plants that can handle sandy soils, summer heat, reticulation limits, wind exposure, and the real maintenance schedule the site will receive.

Swan Gardens Evolution handles planting and soft landscaping for strata, commercial, and residential properties — new garden beds, replacement planting, infill planting, and tired beds that need a reset. We prepare the soil, select practical species, plant correctly, mulch, and then maintain the new work so it has the best chance of establishing.

If a garden bed has become patchy, bare, or overgrown with the wrong plants, this is the service that brings it back into shape.

What affects cost

Quoted on the property, not a price list.

Planting is quoted on the preparation, plant supply, soil improvement, mulch, and labour to install. The right plant list depends on the site: shade, wind, reticulation, foot traffic, soil, and how much maintenance the bed will receive. We can refresh a tired bed, replace failed plants, or prepare and plant a new section from scratch. For strata and commercial sites, we prefer species that hold their shape, tolerate Perth conditions, and do not create avoidable maintenance problems later.

FAQ

Common questions about planting & soft landscaping.

Is this the same as landscaping?

This is soft landscaping — plants, soil, mulch, and garden beds. We do not position it as a hard landscaping service for paving, retaining walls, or major construction.

Can you choose the plants for us?

Yes — we recommend plants based on the site's sun, wind, soil, reticulation, and maintenance schedule. The goal is planting that looks good and survives, not a nursery list that struggles after the first summer.

Do you replace dead plants in strata common areas?

Yes — replacement and infill planting is common on strata sites. We can refresh entries, car-park beds, courtyards, verge beds, and tired common areas.

Do you prepare the beds before planting?

Yes — bed preparation is included in the scope. We clear failed growth where needed, improve the soil, plant at the right spacing, and mulch afterwards.

Can you look after the plants after installation?

Yes — for ongoing maintenance clients, establishment care is built into the regular visits. That means watering checks, early pruning, pest monitoring, and replacing any avoidable weak points before they spread.
